Location: Suffolk, VA Pay: $20.00 per hour Schedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Forklift Operator to support shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role involves operating a sit-down forklift, handling incoming and outgoing freight, and ensuring accurate inventory movement using RF scanning technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift with a two-prong swivel stick
- Set up containers in receiving at the start of each shift
- Verify, scan, and put away incoming freight using RF scanners
- Unload palletized freight as needed
- Pick orders for customer pickup
- Maintain accurate inventory through proper scanning and documentation
- Assist with general warehouse duties and additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
Fully trained and experienced in sit-down forklift operation Proficient using RF scan guns Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision Flexible, consistent, and dependable work ethic Willingness to work overtime as needed
