Senior Care Liaison

Location: Always Best Care Knoxville

Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (with flexibility outside normal business hours as needed)

Objective:

The Senior Care Liaison serves as the primary relationship builder and business development representative for Always Best Care Knoxville. This position is responsible for growing the agency through strategic community outreach, referral development, and exceptional customer service while promoting both our non-medical home care and assisted living placement services.

Success in this role depends on establishing trusted relationships with hospitals, physicians, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, home health agencies, hospice providers, senior organizations, and other community partners. The Senior Care Liaison represents the Always Best Care brand with professionalism, compassion, confidence, and integrity while helping seniors and their families navigate difficult healthcare decisions.

This is a field-based position requiring a highly motivated, self-directed professional who thrives on relationship building, networking, and creating long-term referral partnerships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Business Development & Referral Growth

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans designed to increase referral volume and agency growth.
• Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with referral sources throughout the healthcare and senior services community.
• Meet face-to-face with referral partners on a consistent basis, targeting approximately 40–50 professional visits each week.
• Identify, research, qualify, and cultivate new referral opportunities.
• Schedule regular follow-up visits that build genuine relationships rather than transactional sales interactions.
• Become the preferred home care resource within assigned territory.

 

2. Community Outreach & Brand Development

• Represent Always Best Care at networking events, healthcare meetings, chamber events, senior expos, health fairs, and community functions.
• Conduct presentations, educational seminars, and staff in-services for healthcare professionals and community organizations.
• Increase community awareness through strategic networking and relationship marketing.
• Strengthen Always Best Care's reputation as Knoxville's trusted senior care resource.

 

 

3. Client & Family Engagement

• Respond promptly to referrals and prospective client inquiries.
• Conduct initial intake conversations and coordinate in-home assessments.
• Assist families in understanding available care options, including home care and assisted living placement.
• Coordinate tours of senior living communities when appropriate.
• Connect families with community resources that improve quality of life and care outcomes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience throughout every interaction.

 

4. Relationship Management

• Develop meaningful, long-term relationships built on trust, consistency, and reliability.
• Practice a "Give First" philosophy by offering introductions, education, resources, and support without expecting immediate reciprocity.
• Learn and remember details about referral partners to strengthen professional relationships.
• Become known as a trusted connector within the healthcare community.
• Maintain professionalism, positivity, and composure in all situations.

 

5. CRM & Sales Activity Management

• Document all sales activity, referral interactions, meetings, and follow-up plans within the company CRM.
• Maintain accurate records of referral sources and business development opportunities.
• Submit weekly activity reports outlining accomplishments, opportunities, pipeline development, and future goals.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings and collaborate on marketing initiatives.
• Assist leadership in identifying new growth opportunities and market trends.

 

6. Collaboration & Teamwork

• Work closely with Operations, Scheduling, Recruiting, and Client Service staff to ensure smooth client onboarding.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve marketing strategies and operational processes.
• Assist in introducing caregivers to new clients when appropriate.
• Support agency initiatives that improve the client and caregiver experience.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and a positive attitude in every interaction.

1. On-call Phone Rotation:

 

1. • Participate in the on-call phone rotation to address urgent HR or scheduling issues outside of regular working hours.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

1. • Provide assistance in scheduling and client assessments as needed.
   • Answer general phone inquiries and provide support as required.
   • Perform other tasks as assigned to support organizational goals and operations.

 

 

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of successful sales, marketing, healthcare, senior services, hospice, home health, or related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in relationship-based business development.
• Strong networking and presentation skills.
• Exceptional communication and active listening abilities.
• Highly organized with outstanding follow-through.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Ability to confidently ask for referrals and close business opportunities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Basic understanding of healthcare terminology and senior care services preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Willingness to complete ongoing education and professional development.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
