Exciting opportunities are now open for compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students for the upcoming academic year on a contract basis. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference working within a supportive school environment near Ann Arbor, MI. Successful candidates will contribute their expertise from August through at least December, with the potential for assignment extension through June 10th.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (LBS1 required)
• Experience in a school-based special education setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, assessment, and progress monitoring
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Committed to differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs
• Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative mindset

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective instruction tailored to students’ unique learning profiles
• Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Partner with general education teachers and service providers to maximize student success
• Employ various instructional strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Maintain accurate records and consistent communication with families
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where all students are empowered to achieve
