Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be creative, flexible, and committed to fostering an engaging learning environment for children ages 3–5.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans using Creative Curriculum and Reggio Emilia-inspired practices .

• Create a classroom culture that values exploration, creativity, and collaboration.

• Observe and document children’s progress, interests, and developmental milestones.

• Collaborate with co-teachers to plan and lead small-group and large-group activities.

• Maintain compliance with Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies.

• Build strong relationships with families through regular communication and parent conferences.

• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required).

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or school setting.

• Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and/or Reggio Emilia philosophy strongly preferred.

• CDA (Child Development Associate) certification a plus.

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
