About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ED RN is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute illness, injury, or medical emergencies. Working in a fast-paced environment, the RN utilizes critical thinking, clinical expertise, and sound judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring of patients presenting with a variety of medical related conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including codes, trauma activations, and critical care interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
• Provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in high-stress situations.

Qualifications

• Active, current, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications: 
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum of one (1) year of emergency nursing knowledge and experience, or successful completion of an Emergency Department training program, including: 
• EMTALA training
• Emergency Severity Index (ESI) Level 5 triage training (to be completed within the first six months of employment in the Emergency Department)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to maintain composure, adaptability, and sound judgment in a fast-paced, changing environment
• De-escalation certification required upon hire; SAMA certification required upon recertification.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

• Our organization follows an in person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.
• The total compensation target pay range for this role is $54.85 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
