Dental Lab Technician (Crown & Bridge)

We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization, including this skilled Dental Lab Technician opportunity (specializing in Crown & Bridge fabrication) at NDX Stern Empire Dental Laboratory in Houston, TX . The regular hours for this position are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions Of The Position Fit all work to a solid poured or digitally printed model Choose correct porcelain Build to correct contour, blend and occlusion Stain and glaze with crown clean-up functions on posterior restorations Complete esthetic anterior PFZ, PFM and full contour cases Fire at the correct temperature and for the appropriate amount of time Steam clean required items Return items to proper pan Complete cases according to work ticket schedule Scan and initial cases as required Perform basic porcelain repairs according to Technical Team Policies All other duties as assigned Skills And Abilities That May Be Required Knowledge of tooth anatomy Ability to articulate according to Rx Knowledge of materials (i.e. stones, acrylic) Identify through Impressions margins Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English Minimum Education And Experience Required High School diploma or equivalent preferred 2 years’ experience with building porcelain crowns, and 2 or more years contouring monolithic crowns Proficient in executing all levels of dental lab cases without assistance Demonstrates ability to handle complex design cases independently Cross-trained in multiple tasks and functions across the department and operates self-sufficiently Hazardous Materials Or Equipment That May Be Used Laboratory equipment that may include: grinders, lathes, ovens, burners, steamers and boiling water Physical Abilities That May Be Required Sitting for long periods of time, uncommon posture when fabricating and continuous maneuvering of hands and fingers while working with small tools Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions Good hand-eye coordination Good manual dexterity Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time #J-18808-Ljbffr Perry & Young Dental Lab
