Rockford Center is searching for an experienced Environmental Services Worker/Housekeeper/Floor Tech for a full-time position from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland. Website: Psychiatric and Substance Abuse Services | Rockford Center | Newark, DE In this rewarding role, you will ensure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors, including specialized floor care and maintenance. Responsibilities Clean floors in-patient and non-patient areas using proper supplies and equipment Maintain facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion, including stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing and carpet cleaning. Move furniture when necessary. Remove trash and waste from designated areas of facility Make beds correctly and remove and replace linens, placing in designated storage area for laundering Maintain facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion, including dusting furniture, cleaning windows, keeping bathrooms clean and supplies replenished Benefits Competitive Compensation Generous Paid Time Off – 23 days in the first year! Qualifications High School Diploma/GED. Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital setting required. Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of hospital cleaning and floor care.
