Survey Field Technician II

Day‑Day Responsibilities Assist the Crew Chief in operating a field survey crew. Maintain high quality, accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory compliance of work while ensuring safety and proper equipment maintenance. Operate equipment, maintain a safe work environment, protect and maintain equipment and vehicles, accurately collect field data and locate features. Travel overnight may be required. Walk extensively outdoors year‑round over various terrain in extreme heat and cold. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Good technical skills. Process‑oriented behavioral traits including steadiness, helpfulness, analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability, ability to work independently, methodical, consistent, detail‑oriented, precise, and a low tolerance for mistakes. EFB data collection experience preferred. Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor‑vehicle record, cleared background check, and negative drug‑test result. Preferred Skills 1–2 years of progressive experience in land survey field operations and proficiency with land survey equipment (total stations) and GPS. Self‑motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent problem‑solving skills. Motivation to learn and develop a career path. Alignment with McKim & Creed’s core values.
