Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse located in Reston, Virginia. This position involves providing specialized care for newborns requiring intensive medical attention. Job Details:

• Location: Reston, VA
• Unit Information:
  • Number of Beds: 16
  • Staff per Shift: 5 with a charge nurse
  • Patient Ratios: 1:2
  • Typical procedures performed: Intubation, Umbilical Line Placement, PICC placement, Lumbar Punctures, X-rays
  • EMR System: CPN & Meditech
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Education: Relevant nursing degree with active licensure
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a neonatal intensive care environment
  • Location: Virginia
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with family-centered patient care
  • Flexibility to float to Labor & Delivery (WCS) units, including Post-partum and Labor & Delivery as a baby nurse
• Additional Information:
  • Full-time position requiring five weekend shifts every four weeks.
  • Dress code: Scrubs in purple.
