2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A HOPSITAL SETTING REQUIRED

MUST HAVE ACTIVE COMPACT LICENSE AT SUBMISSION

BLS REQUIRED

Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds – 5 – able to expand to 6
• Number of Staff – 2 RNs when unit is open
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 1 charge, 1 RN (Second RN when unit is open)
  • Night Shift – 1 charge, 1 RN (Second RN when unit is open)
• Patient Ratios – Depends on acuity and Volume
• Type of equipment – Giraffes, Pandas, Syringe Pumps, Hospira Pumps
• EMR – Meditech

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum of 2 years NICU experience at Level 2 or greater
• NRP skills to attend vaginal and c/s deliveries

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• STABLE Certification
• Nursing Certification within specialty

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• IV Antibiotics, Dextrose infusions, TPN/Lipids, PO/NG feeds, Umbilical Line maintenance, Oxygen Support, Nasal CPAP, Surfactant administration assist, delivery attendance.
• Family centered care for mothers and families

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

• NRP, BLS

Floating Area(s):

• Postpartum: to care for Well Newborns, NRN role in L&D at deliveries

Dress Code :

• Scrub Color/Attire – Navy Blue

Weekends and On call (if any):

• 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week period
• 12 hours of On-call in addition to scheduled hours
