This role ensures compliance with company standards, maintains high levels of product quality and freshness, and supports overall sales and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily deli operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentationMaintain accurate inventory through proper stock rotation, replenishment, and monitoring of product levelsEnsure all deli products are handled, prepared, and stored in accordance with company and food safety standardsMonitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable itemsSupervise and manage department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and performance expectationsCoordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagementReview inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address concernsEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and internal audit standardsMaintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the deli departmentQualificationsPrevious experience in deli, food service, retail, or warehouse operationsStrong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and product handlingExperience leading or managing a teamStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesBasic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience managing a deli or perishable departmentFamiliarity with food safety regulations and audit expectationsBackground in high-volume retail or wholesale environmentsWork Environment / ExpectationsPrimarily retail or warehouse environment with temperature-controlled areas. Requires standing, walking, and handling products for extended periods.
