Job SummaryThis position oversees compliance to the policies, procedures, work instructions contained in the quality management system. Also, Responsible for exercising the disposition of material placed in the “Material Review Bay” as well as a resource to Plant personnel as trainer on quality system documents and record keeping duties to show compliance to system requirements.Job DescriptionQuality Assurance Representative – (Metals )Location: Northwood, OHShift: 1st ShiftPay: $21.63 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)We are seeking a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) to support 1st shift operations in a fast-paced metals environment. The ideal candidate will have prior quality experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining strict quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide oversight of document and data control within the plantOwn and maintain measurement and gaging systemsLead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely follow-upOversee quality records maintained in the plantConduct process audits to ensure compliance with established proceduresImplement statistical process control (SPC) for equipment and processesEnsure accurate documentation and timely processing of non-conforming materialServe as a trainer for Quality Department documentation (not responsible for all plant training)Maintain accurate records for:Gages and calibrationNon-conforming materialInspection formsStamp logsCollaborate closely with Plant Supervisors and ManagementMeet all TKMNA Employee Attributes and CompetenciesMinimum QualificationsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of attention to detail, particularly within a Quality Management SystemUnderstanding of core quality tools and problem-solving methodsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookExperience working in a fast-paced plant or warehouse environmentComfortable with short task completion timelines and shifting prioritiesAbility to work effectively with a diverse workforceWillingness and desire to pursue additional quality training as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience in Rod, Bar, or Wire manufacturing environmentsASQ Certification3+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experienceExperience or training in ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100 quality standardsThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
