Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) in Rome, NY. This position involves providing care to adult and geriatric patient populations within a step-down unit, with a focus on adult and geriatric care. The role requires adherence to facility protocols and supports patient recovery and well-being in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 1-2 years of experience in step-down or telemetry units; certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Paragon and Pxyis
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: This position involves working in a 12-hour night shift in a step-down care setting, providing essential nursing services to adult and geriatric patients. The RN-to-patient ratio is 6:1, supporting safe and effective patient care.
