What You'll Do Diagnose malfunctions on equipment and perform repairs Perform preventive maintenance on engines and hydraulic systems for on and off road mobile equipment (including vehicles such as trucks and trailers) and maintains stationary equipment Operate the following mobile equipment: loaders, forklifts, trucks, material handlers and other various equipment to troubleshoot Performs a wide range of physical activity including operating aerial lifts at various heights Use computers to issue parts and update comments on work orders/task lists including diagnostic programs for engines and hydraulic systems, OEM, and brake systems Ensure all jobs are completed in a proficient and safe manner when working within the plant and/or garage shop areas while wearing Personal Protective Equipment Assistin inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy mobile equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, forklifts, manlifts, and mobile cranes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and ensure accurate documentation of all completed work. Participate in CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture Perform routine preventive maintenance, lubrication, and basic component replacements following established procedures. Read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and drawings to support maintenance tasks. Support senior mechanics in completing repairs and coordinating work with operations to minimize downtime. Use basic diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify and verify equipment issues. What You'll Need Minimum 3 years experience with basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical and electronic engines, mobile equipment, and vehicles Must be able to perform minor repairs and routine tasks efficiently, correctly, and safely Must keep clean and safe work area and comply with all plant specific rules, procedures, and duties Positive attitude, willingness to learn from senior mechanics, and strong communication with team members and leaders. Ability to read and follow technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in extreme temperatures and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, lifting, and working at heights.
