Senior Financial Analyst

A great UHY client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Warren, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a CPA with at least 2 years of experience, a go‑getter personality with the want to advance and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. The Senior Financial Analyst role is a onsite position. This is a client direct hire position. Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance internal control frameworks; design and execute audit procedures to support compliance requirements. Partner with functional leaders to implement and monitor adherence to finance and accounting policies; proactively identify and mitigate control risks. Manage accounts receivable and customer financing processes, serving as a key backup for receivables leadership. Assist with monthly and annual close activities, identifying opportunities for process improvement. Support financial planning and analysis activities, including preparation and review of financial statements and management reports. Coordinate with external auditors and support tax and regulatory filings by providing required documentation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate recording and classification of financial transactions. Prepare recurring and ad‑hoc reports, including sales analyses and internal audit documentation. Identify and support initiatives to improve processes through automation and workflow optimization. Perform additional projects and responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. 2–3+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or financial operations. Active CPA certification with strong knowledge of accounting standards and internal control frameworks. Experience working with enterprise financial systems or accounting software. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail, with the ability to understand broader business impacts.
