The Banquet Houseman is responsible for meeting and exceeding the expectations of all guests. The Banquet Houseman is responsible primarily for the set-up, and clean-up of all banquet functions as well as maintaining the cleanliness of common areas and bathrooms during events. This is a fast-paced position that will involve customer interaction. The Banquet Houseman must be able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Maintains cleanliness of banquet rooms, hallways, storage and service areas.
• Ability to follow directions from banquet event orders and room diagrams.
• Must be able to work a flexible shift of mornings or evenings along with weekends and holidays.
• Assist Banquet Staff when needed.
• Responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down banquet rooms. This includes, but it not limited to: moving tables & chairs, polishing silverware, setting tables with plates & glassware, setting up & breaking down portable dance floor.
• Reports needed repairs of unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Responds quickly to requests from guests & management in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintains supplies neat and organized to department standards.
• Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
• Reports missing articles, damage or mechanical problems restaurant/lounge area and equipment.
• Always provides a professional image through appearance and dress.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
• Attends scheduled mandatory staff meetings.

Qualifications:

• Houseman experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 or older

Physical demands and abilities:

• Frequently walking with some standing at times, possibly extended distances; ability to bend and climb stairs when necessary
• Frequently lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
