Patient Care Team Member

At HACH, our patient care team doesn't "just clean", they are responsible for providing compassionate care to all patients and pets within the hospital and boarding facility is paramount. It is essential to possess a deep understanding of various illnesses and the ability to discern when intervention is required, whether it be changing bedding, providing relief outdoors, or seeking assistance. Effective communication with both technicians and doctors is crucial, as is the ability to relay inquiries from pet owners and convey their concerns to the medical team. Utilizing computer software to maintain accurate records of medications, feeding schedules, and bathing routines is a fundamental aspect of the role, ensuring comprehensive care for all patients throughout their stay at the clinic.

Daily duties include:

• Performing kennel duties with diligence and attention to detail and biosecurity protocols
• Providing attentive care to small animals and exotics under supervision
• Demonstrating proficiency in animal restraint techniques
• Assisting in surgical preparation procedures and anesthesia recovery protocols
• Conducting nail trimming procedures with precision
• Offering informative client education on pet health and wellness
• Supporting veterinary staff in various assisting tasks
• Bathing and medical grooming of pets
