Mill Set-Up CNC Machinist

I'm currently partnering with a growing manufacturing company that is looking to add a career-focused CNC Machinist to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and is looking for long-term growth with a stable company.

This role will involve both machine setup and daily production operation , with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and process control.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, edit, and perform offsets on CNC Lathe and Milling machines
• Complete machine/tool changeovers and tool replacements as needed
• Monitor daily production output and maintain expected production rates
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure machines are running consistently and efficiently
• Collect and document SPC data to maintain process control standards
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure products meet tight tolerance requirements
• Use precision measurement equipment including:
• Micrometers
• Calipers
• Pressure micrometers
• Gauges
• Microscopes
• Micro-Vu systems
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately and on time

Qualifications:

• Previous experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC Lathe and/or Milling machines
• Strong understanding of GD&T / Geometric Tolerancing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical prints
• Experience working with tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment
• Strong math skills, ideally machine shop math
• Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement equipment
• Programming experience on CNC machines is a plus
• Medical manufacturing experience is a plus
• Ability to help train or mentor others is highly preferred

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical/trade school diploma in Machining or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)

Shift Hours:

• 1st Shift: 6am-230pm M-F
