Data Analyst

OverviewThis position supports the DCH Care Coordination Department and it’s business and clinical processes, with a focus on appropriate utilization of resources, patient transitions across the continuum, appropriate documentation and levels of care. This position is responsible for the management, collection, tracking and trending of data related to Care Coordination housed in several systems. Also, responsible for designing and delivering data analysis from the identified system and reports created. (Midas, Medtech, Tableau, and 3M). Provide support for research and data analysis efforts and assists with special projects for the Health System.ResponsibilitiesManages day to day operations of databases that support the collection and integration of data and information used in tracking daily operations and overall organizational performanceActs as a liaison between the external data sources used to compare DCH performanceValidates internal and external data quality Transfers data to external data sources as assignedConducts performance analysis reports including trends, projections, external comparisons and correlationsCreates and distributes multiple statistical reports essential to DCH planning and goal achievement DCH Standards:Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook.Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.Performs essential job functions in a manner that ensures the safety of patients, visitors and employees.Identifies and reduces unsafe practices that may result in harm to patients, visitors and employees.Recognizes and takes appropriate action to reduce risks and hazards to promote safety for patients, visitors and employees.Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelors' degree in Business, IT, Marketing or related field required; Preferred experience in healthcare data management with research; Microsoft Office intermediate skills required in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Intermediate Microsoft Office Access, Excel pivot tables, and Publisher skills preferred. Keyboarding experience required. Must be able to work independently, multitask, organize key projects, and prioritize tasks, with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Strong team building skills; Strong oral and written communication skills - electronically, face-to-face and over the phone; Trained focus group moderator preferred.
