Job Summary:

Provide specialized occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient hospital setting, focusing on orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, and complex medical conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient recovery and functional independence.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans based on medical diagnoses and goals.
  
  
• 
  Administer therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and daily living skills.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes using EPIC EMR.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with all clinical standards, safety protocols, and licensing requirements.
  
  
• 
  Participate in weekend coverage and flexible scheduling to meet departmental needs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid Ohio occupational therapist licensure and registration required; must be active at the time of hire.
  
  
• 
  BLS certification required.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years acute care experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Familiarity with orthopedics, joint replacement post-operative care, neurosurgical, neurological, and cardiovascular conditions preferred.
  
  
• 
  EPIC EMR experience preferred.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication, assessment, and clinical reasoning skills.
