Specialist, Quality Control Analytical, Cell Therapy ( Wed - Saturday)

AstraZeneca seeks a Quality Control Analytical Specialist in Rockville, Maryland to execute analytical testing for cell therapy products using methods such as flow cytometry, ELISA, and PCR. The role supports cGMP lot release and stability testing, with responsibility for instrument operation, documentation, and quality systems compliance on a Wednesday–Saturday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Execute QC analytical testing for cell therapy products per approved methods and cGMP standards
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments; troubleshoot and document issues
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records in electronic systems and prepare for audits
- Participate in laboratory investigations, deviations, and CAPA implementation
- Coordinate daily testing priorities and communicate lot release status to the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' laboratory experience with cell therapy or biologics techniques
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, ELISA, PCR, cell culture, and viability assays
- Proficiency with analytical instrumentation and associated software
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and adaptability in dynamic environments
- Ability to work on-site in lab-based role for assigned shift
Compensation: $80,909.60–$121,364.40 base annual
