Information Technology Support Technician

With a busy district based in Midland Texas focused on supporting oilfield communities in the Permian Basin we are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to support this booming business. Possessing 3*_years + of desktop support experience*_, gained in a busy customer centric environment, and with highly developed communication skills, this will make you a strong candidate to add to this team. Position Summary :Reporting to the IT Coordination Manager, this position is a part of a two person team which will support users in maintaining computers, phones, software, and other related items. This position is the Main IT Support Technician for all district-based users in this busy oilfield service location

• Supporting a wide variety of users including corporate personnel, district management and occasionally field based employees (Equipment Operators, Drivers and Mechanics) your ability to prioritize tickets, actively listen to the end user, formulate a “fix”, document the resolution and then follow up after you have resolved the original issue (to ensure/confirm the integrity of the support provided and client satisfaction before closing out the ticket); your talent and orientation to excellence, are critical to the smooth running of the district location. While you will perform routine tasks, you will also participate in interesting project work. Busy, your day will fly by, with an expectation that you will work at a faster than average pace, and will complete detailed, important work. The work environment is collegial and collaborative, and the IT Services Team itself is tight knit, where each individual member takes “Extreme Ownership” for their role and contribution to the whole
• Duties and Responsibilities

:Coordinate and provide IT Support for all computer users in the Midland (main) and Odessa (satellite) locations – you are the main point of contac tLevel 2 troubleshooting user issues with phones, computers, and printers etc .Repair software and hardware issues for users as they aris eConfigure and deploy new equipmen tEvaluate broken hardware and perform warranty repair sTrain users on OS, application, phone, mobile phone use as neede dWrite instructions for end users as neede dMaintain asset list and other internal database sTravel to regional office on occasion to ensure users and IT needs are addresse dManage Projects as they aris eYou Bring :Minimum three years of desktop support experienc eAssociates or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems / Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field. Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered
