Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)

Part-Time initially with a planned transition to Full-Time (hybrid schedule upon transition)

Position Overview:

The PMHNP-BC will perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care, focusing on evidence-based behavioral health treatments and specialized care for various psychiatric conditions. This role involves medication management, psychotherapy, and assisting with advanced interventional modalities, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato® (esketamine) treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Psychiatric Care: Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations, differentiating between primary psychiatric conditions and underlying medical issues. Formulate evidence-based treatment plans integrating psychotropic medications and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitoring & Risk Assessment: Conduct appropriate assessments and routinely monitor medication efficacy, potential side effects, and relevant clinical metrics.
• Interventional Psychiatry: Collaborating with the interventional care team and assisting with TMS and Spravato® therapies (training will be provided).
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate dynamically with members of the clinical team when needed, which include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, patient care coordinators, and administrative staff.
• Documentation: Complete all clinical charting, billing codes (CPT/ICD-10), and treatment plans accurately within 48 hours of patient encounters.

Qualifications:

• Board-Certified PMHNP-BC
• Active, unencumbered California state license to practice in Psychiatry (with NPI).
• Active Furnishing/Prescribing license with valid DEA registration (Schedule II–V) and Controlled Substance Registration.
• Active BLS or ACLS certification required.
• Experience in Interventional Psychiatry (TMS, Spravato®) preferred.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and ability to work independently.
• Bilingual preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Compensation: $85/hr for PT, $95+/hr for FT
• Benefits: Aforementioned benefits applicable when transitioning to full-time
