Investigator I / II

Biogen seeks an Investigator to lead quality and safety investigations across manufacturing operations in Research Triangle Park, NC. The role applies root cause analysis and Human & Organizational Performance principles to identify improvement opportunities, reduce risks, and enhance operational reliability through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations into quality deviations, safety incidents, and remedial action requests across manufacturing
• Conduct interviews, gather data, and apply systematic cause analysis methodologies to identify root causes
• Author clear, compliant investigation reports within quality and safety systems
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop corrective and preventive actions that reduce recurrence risk
• Present investigation outcomes and documentation during internal and external audits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or Associate's degree in STEM with 2+ years direct experience (Investigator I); Bachelor's with 2+ years or Associate's with 4+ years (Investigator II)
• Experience conducting investigations, root cause analyses, or problem-solving in regulated environments
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to evaluate complex information
• Excellent technical writing and documentation capabilities
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Working knowledge of quality systems, safety programs, and manufacturing compliance requirements
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines

Compensation: $69,000-$90,000 (Investigator I); $85,000-$111,000 (Investigator II); overall range $85,000-$110,500 base
