Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: West Allis (West Suburbs)

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday

Salary: $70,000-$90,000 roughly annually

A well-established, financially stable manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a high-performing production team on first shift. This is not a replacement due to turnover. The current supervisor has accepted an internal promotion and will remain with the company to assist with training and ensure a smooth transition into the role.

What You’ll Do

As the Production Supervisor, you will lead approximately 15-20 production employees while overseeing daily manufacturing operations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Execute production schedules to support on-time customer deliveries.
• Provide daily leadership, coaching, and accountability for production employees.
• Build a positive, team-oriented culture focused on continuous improvement.
• Monitor staffing levels and labor utilization to meet production demands.
• Ensure accurate production reporting, labor tracking, inventory transactions, and ERP data entry.
• Coach employees through performance feedback, training, and professional development.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective action when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment utilizing 6S principles.
• Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Track and report Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance metrics.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, and other departments to improve processes and resolve production challenges.
• ·         Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, building strong teams, and driving operational improvements.

Qualifications include:

• 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory or production leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
• Experience with labor planning, production scheduling, and meeting manufacturing deadlines.
• Working knowledge of ERP or manufacturing systems for production reporting, inventory transactions, or labor tracking (Syteline experience is a plus).
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in understanding manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
