Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health North Hospital, located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with their Hospitalist program. At least 2 years of inpatient experience are required. Eastern North Carolina offers an excellent work-life balance with an affordable cost of living, mild climate, and close proximity to Lake Gaston, Raleigh and the beautiful beaches of North Carolina. • Employment by ECU Health Physicians
• Hospital privileges at ECU Health North Hospital
• Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7p-5a (4) 10 hour shifts
• No call
• 204-community hospital
• Established hospitalist program inclusive of 11 Physicians & 1 Advanced Practice Provider
• Clinical responsibilities will include admissions and consults from ED, rounding on inpatients as needed, discharges, coordination of patient and family care needs
• Advanced practice providers work independently with limited daily physician supervision
• Cardiac Cath Lab
• Specialty support provided by Cardiology, General Surgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Pulmonology Nephrology, Radiology, ID (telemedicine), Psychiatry (telemedicine)
• Cath lab on site
• No procedures required
• Average total inpatient cases 70 patients per day
• Ability to live on Lake Gaston
• ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association are required
