Product & System Configuration Analyst

A Day In The Life The Product & System Configuration Analyst will manage system functionality, rating & vehicle class guides for new and refreshed products in the GSFS policy administration system. The position will also provide analysis and recommendations for product contract language, pricing support, ad hoc reporting and special assignments. The Analyst is responsible for producing analysis and reporting requested by internal GSFS customers, agents and dealers. The Analyst will develop knowledge of the administration system, data mining, consumer contract language, financial modeling and general business practices. Responsibilities Manage the set up and configuration of vended software in the GSFS policy administration system, to administer F&I products in accordance with product development specifications for new and refreshed F&I offerings. Work effectively in a team environment, gather product blueprint specifications, construct product administration functionality, test output results, and review results with department associates and other GSFS departments. Perform data mining and organization of information in the management of product line key performance measurers and profitability. Actively participate in the analysis of consumer-facing product language and make recommendations. Effectively manage assigned projects for special assignments requiring a high level of attention or with little notice, including written summaries to Leadership of business opportunities, creation of supporting exhibits in Excel, and presentations in PowerPoint. Assist in the preparation of management reports and pricing analysis for Leadership, Product Managers, Finance and other internal GSFS clients; use influence with peers when seeking information or assistance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or other relevant field. 1‑3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. F&I experience is a plus. Strong problem‑solving and business logic organization. PC skills through vended software. Proficient in using computer software including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to learn new software functionality through interaction with other associates and outside software providers. Experience with relationship management and customer‑relationship management concepts (awareness‑developing). Understanding of risk analysis and ability to develop mitigation strategies (awareness‑developing). Team‑oriented mindset fostering collaboration and new ideas (awareness‑developing). Process improvement skills, introducing enhancements and optimizations (awareness‑developing). Business analysis experience identifying needs and solutions (awareness‑developing). Physical and Environmental Requirements The associate is required to analyze data, communicate, remain stationary for significant portions of the day, and frequently use computers and office equipment. The associate must move around the office and corporate campus, regularly move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Travel Requirements 10% periodic travel may be required.
