Job Description: Kitchen Manager

Position Overview: Lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations. The Kitchen Manager will possess exceptional leadership abilities, a culinary background, and a commitment to delivering outstanding food quality and customer satisfaction. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Responsibilities:

1. Culinary Leadership:

• Work with chef to create and update menus, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of pizzas and related dishes.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all food items.
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring that recipes are followed accurately, and that proper cooking techniques are utilized.
• Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.

2. Team Management:

• Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, cooperation, and continuous improvement.
• Manage schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels during peak and non-peak hours.
• Manage inventory and ordering, including dough prep and transport.
• Oversee daily service operations, including food prep, service, and cleaning/sanitation

3. Quality Control:

• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet our established standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste, control costs, and ensure ingredients are readily available.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.

4. Operational Efficiency:

• Optimize kitchen workflows to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during busy periods.
• Collaborate with front of house staff to maintain smooth communication and facilitate a seamless dining experience for customers.
• Identify areas for improvement in kitchen operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  

5. Menu Development and Innovation:

• Experiment with new pizza and menu ideas, working to create exciting and innovative offerings that set us apart from competitors.
  

6. Budget Management:

• Assist in developing and adhering to kitchen related budgets, including ingredient costs, labor costs, and operational expenses.
• Monitor and control costs without compromising on food quality and customer satisfaction.
