Safeguarding & Anti-Discrimination Venue Manager, Match Day Only

Position Overview At FIFA26, our vision is to unite the world through the greatest sporting event of all time. Department & Location Department: EVS - Match Day Only Location: San Francisco Responsibilities Act as the central point of contact for safeguarding, anti‑discrimination, and inclusion matters on matchdays at the assigned venue. Serve as the lead contact for safeguarding and anti‑discrimination inclusion across the stadium during all matchdays. Support a small group of volunteers in performing duties designated by the Sustainability and Human Rights Venue Manager and report activities at the end of each shift. Liaise with stadium security, fan operations, CARE Team, SVM and SHR central team to respond to and resolve anti‑discrimination and safeguarding issues or complaints. Provide case management reports for concerns related to children or adults under the FWC26 Stadium Code of Conduct, FIFA’s Safeguarding & Anti‑discrimination Code of Conduct (Accredited Individuals), and FIFA’s Code of Ethics. Support venue‑level implementation of the FWC26 Anti‑Discrimination Policy, including conflict awareness, rapid engagement, and identification of non‑offensive, non‑political, and non‑discriminatory fan material. Assist in checking fan materials inside the stadium bowl and alert SVM and security personnel of alleged political, offensive, or discriminatory flags, banners, posters, or other fan material. Collaborate with Safety & Security teams to implement the Lost or Missing Children Policy and identify, prevent, and mitigate safeguarding risks during matchdays. Respond to reports of safeguarding incidents or concerns and coordinate actions in line with stadium procedures. Input information into the case management systems for victims of harassment, abuse, trafficking, or other welfare concerns. Work with SVM to coordinate referrals to statutory authorities in host cities as required. Submit reports to the SVM for notification to the FWC26 SHR Team regarding all safeguarding and anti‑discrimination reports. Education & Qualifications Qualifications in safeguarding, human rights, or public protection, or demonstrable knowledge and practical experience in a related occupation. Work Experience Minimum mandatory experience: demonstrable field experience in security, public protection, human rights, civil rights, anti‑discrimination, and safeguarding. Experience communicating in multi‑cultural environments. Knowledge of recognizing discriminatory and harmful behaviors toward children and adults, and understanding the impact of abusive behavior. Ability to work professionally, confidentially, and consistently in emotionally distressing and sensitive contexts. Knowledge of host city legal and socio‑cultural context, government guidelines, and national frameworks on anti‑discrimination and safeguarding. Clear understanding of statutory authorities’ protective service roles in host cities. Experience with survivor‑centered, trauma‑informed case management and confidential referrals to relevant authorities in host cities. Languages Fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is a plus. Technology Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools. Pay Information In accordance with California’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the pay range for this position is $40 per hour. The estimate is based on the position being performed in California and may not apply to similar positions in other locations.
