Lead Technical Product Owner, Salesforce

As a Lead Technical Product Owner, Salesforce, you will lead a team of Salesforce professionals while driving the design, delivery, and evolution of enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions. This is an opportunity to influence technology strategy, mentor talented engineers, and deliver high-impact solutions that support key business priorities across Manulife.Position Responsibilities:Lead the technical vision, architecture, and delivery of Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and integrated enterprise platforms.Provide leadership to a team of Salesforce developers, administrators, and technical specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.Drive solution design, integration strategy, release planning, and technical governance across Salesforce and related applications.Create and maintain architecture, solution design, and technical documentation to support enterprise delivery standards.Provide hands-on technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to development teams while ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.Review and implement new Salesforce features and platform capabilities to enhance business outcomes and user experiences.Support enterprise DevOps practices, release management processes, source control, and deployment methodologies.Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and solution evaluations to ensure scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.Collaborate with technology leaders to define roadmaps and support large-scale transformation initiatives.Required Qualifications:10+ years of experience in technology product development, software engineering, or enterprise application delivery.Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and providing guidance to developers, engineers, and solution delivery teams.Strong expertise in Salesforce solution design, architecture, systems integration, and enterprise application delivery.Experience with Salesforce Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, APIs, and modern Salesforce development practices.Experience with source control systems such as Git and CI/CD release management processes.Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.Ability to support Manulife's hybrid work model, including attendance in the GTA or Waterloo office three days per week.Preferred Qualifications:Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.Additional Salesforce certifications such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer II, or Technical Architect.Experience in Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, or other regulated industries.Experience leading enterprise-scale transformation or modernization initiatives.Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketing Cloud Connector capabilities.DevOps experience within large-scale technology organizations.Experience developing and mentoring high-performing technical teams.Experience supporting customer, operations, marketing, or shared services business functions.When you join our team:We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.The role being advertised is an existing vacancy.About Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
