You'll responsible for preparing surfaces of pipes by removing rust, old paint, and other contaminants to ensure a smooth and clean surface for coating applications, as part of our coatings team.What You'll DoRemove rust, scale, old coatings, and other contaminants from pipe surfaces, ensuring a uniform texture that's ready for coatingInspect pipe surfaces before and after sandblasting to confirm all contaminants are removed and the finish meets coating adhesion standardsApply protective coverings to threaded ends and other areas that shouldn't be blastedOperate sandblasting machines, compressors, and related equipment, adjusting settings based on pipe material and desired finishManage dust and debris control, including proper disposal of used abrasive materials and keeping the work area cleanFollow all safety protocols, including wearing required PPE and securing the work area from hazards like flying debris or dust inhalationPerform routine equipment maintenance — cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts as neededSet up and prepare the blasting area, including arranging pipes and setting up scaffolding or supportsKeep accurate records of work completed, including pipe types blasted, duration, and any issues encounteredWhat You NeedHigh school diploma or equivalentGood verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer literacyPhysical stamina and strong attention to detailSolid understanding of safety protocols and PPE useAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentNice To Have1-3 years of sandblasting experienceBilingual abilityWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly pay with shift differentials and overtime opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision coverageRetirement savings plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth—we promote from withinTuition reimbursement and skills trainingCompensationThe hourly pay range for this position is $19.00-22.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
