CNC Programmers - Manufacturing

Position Overview:

B&T USA is seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Set-up Machinist who can plan, set up, and run various parts of the CNC machines. The CNC Set-up Machinist will maintain quality, safety standards, and keep records while maintaining equipment and supplies of the machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Set up tooling for complex jobs in multi-axis multi-turret mill turn lathes

Set up jobs based on set up sheets and dial in part dimensions

Work directly with CNC programmer to set up new jobs

Measure parts with correct tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauge, pins, gauge blocks, etc.

Instruct machine operators on proper operation techniques

Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime

Understand and ensure compliance with all regulations concerning the department

Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff by following established safety standards

Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

Required Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED. Completion of a technical or associate degree program a plus.
• 5 years CNC lathe set up
• Previous work experience with mill-turn style machines
• Ability to read and understand basic G- code
• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints
• Ability to properly indicate a variety of lathe tooling.
• Ability to work independently and stick to deadlines

Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs unassisted.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop or crouch.

Job Type:

FT - Hourly

On-Site - May be required to work weekends and after-hours as needed to meet production demands.
