Sunrock is seeking a reliable Inter-Company Haul Truck Driver to transport aggregate and materials between Sunrock quarries and production facilities. This role primarily operates tractor-trailers or quad-axle dump trucks to maintain stockpiles and support plant operations, with occasional deliveries outside Sunrock facilities. This is a hands‑on driving role with steady hours, frequent overtime, and minimal overnight travel. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers, quad-axle dump trucks, lowboy, or flatbed as assigned Haul aggregate, recycled materials, pallets, blocks, and equipment between facilities Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and complete driver logs Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance (greasing, cleaning mirrors, cab upkeep) Safely load and unload materials at quarries and plants Use hand signals, CB radio, and standard jobsite communication methods Occasionally operate a concrete mixer truck as needed Follow all Sunrock, OSHA, MSHA, and DOT safety requirements Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 6 months–1 year of CDL driving experience (construction, quarry, or industrial preferred) Valid CDL Class A (combination vehicle endorsement preferred) Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions Valid North Carolina Driver’s License Safe CDL operation in quarry and plant environments Attention to detail and strong situational awareness Ability to follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures Basic mechanical awareness and vehicle care Strong communication and teamwork Exposure to noise, dust, weather conditions, and moving equipment Physically active role with frequent climbing and lifting up to 50 lbs What We Offer Highly competitive pay based on skills & certifications PTO that grows with years of service 8 paid holidays starting Day 1 Full benefits package — medical, dental, vision, life insurance Disability & supplemental benefits that pay cash directly to you 401(k) with 4% company match Safety Incentive Program Heavy Equipment Operator Apprenticeship ASE Certification Pathways for Mechanics Join us and pave the way to success!
