Duties include loading vehicles, abiding by traffic laws, and ensuring safe unloading and delivery at the destination. Major Responsibilities Deliver goods to customers in a timely fashion. If scheduling allows, meet appointment times. Load and unload cargo. Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers. Record cargo deliveries through daily worksheets and electronic tablet. Refuel and clean the vehicle. Report road incidents to dispatcher promptly. Follow traffic laws. Inspect trucks and record issues. Follow accident procedures. Keep an activity log and log hours as required by the FMCSA. Report mechanical problems to maintenance via repair order sheets. Plan routes using GPS system to find shortest practical routes; if unsafe, advise dispatcher and obtain approval for alternate routing. Maintain a positive attitude with customers, treating all customers, employees, and public with respect and courtesy. Keep commercial driver's license up to date. Qualifications Class A or B CDL License. Must pass drug and alcohol test. Clean driving record. Provide current MVR. Provide medical certificate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
