A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations at two Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospitals in the greater Phoenix area. This contract position offers the chance to manage and enhance pharmacy services in a dynamic healthcare setting, ensuring safe and effective medication use while leading a dedicated team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for pharmacy services across two LTAC hospitals
- Oversee medication management, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance programs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and pharmacy performance
- Manage staffing, budgeting, and procurement for pharmacy departments
- Develop policies and procedures that promote safe and efficient pharmacy operations
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials to practice
- Proven experience in a Director of Pharmacy or similar leadership role, preferably within LTAC or hospital settings
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medication safety, and healthcare regulations
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with healthcare professionals
- Experience managing multiple sites is highly desirable
