Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that address both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
• Empower patients and families through education and resources that support progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to maintain seamless care continuity.
• Document all interactions and treatment plans meticulously in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
