- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques.
- Craft individualized treatment plans that address both short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on various aspects such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
- Empower patients and families through education and resources that support progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies to maintain seamless care continuity.
- Document all interactions and treatment plans meticulously in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
- Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Strong background in evidence-based practice for all age groups, complemented by deep knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to customize therapy approaches that respect cultural and linguistic diversity.
- Sound clinical judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
