Please contact View email address on click.appcast.io should you wish to request an accommodation.Technical Functions:Troubleshoot, disassemble, clean, check, repair, rework, replace, fabricate, assemble, install, and adjust any building component, plant equipment, automotive and ground equipment, machinery, accessories, and partsExecute assignments requiring plumbing skillsExecute assignments requiring millwright skillsWeld materialsPerform general building maintenance and construction workMaintain locks and keys for facility (doors, desks, gates) and other airport locations, including digital security access doors and gatesGSE / Facilities General Functions:Assist in storage, removal, and clean-up of hazardous wasteEnsure forms, records, reports, and other work-related paperwork are completed properlyRequest partsClean work area after each shift in preparation for the next crewPerform Foreign Object Debris (FOD) walksCoordinate with vendors regarding technical questionsExplain work procedures to other personnelEscort vendors throughout airport propertyAmerican Airlines General Functions:Report to position on time, as scheduled, and at assigned station or location, including varying shifts, weekends, and holidaysPerform all functions in accordance with safety procedures and policiesComplete job-relevant trainingsAdhere to government regulations (e.g., DOT, FAA, TSA)Adhere to company policies, procedures, and performance standardsFollow instructions from supervisor or Crew Chief, as applicableCoordinate with other employees, vendors, and stakeholders to accomplish work tasksPerform duties that require general safety awareness (e.g., when working in an area with moving vehicles)Wear uniforms and work shoes as required by company policyUse relevant electronic systems to complete workAll you'll need for success:Minimum Qualifications:- Education & Prior Job Experience:High School diploma or GED.Valid driver's license.Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language or language native to geographical location.Thirty-six months (36) or more journeyman experience in plumbing.Possess the applicable state or city license.Read and write legibly to complete forms and/or acknowledge messages, as well as identify company part numbers, invoice, bill of lading, and shipper numbers, as required.Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions in accordance with Company Safety Guidelines.Must be willing to work extra hours when there are operational needs, such as weather delays.Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA).Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges.Any subsequent relocation expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.What you'll get:Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
