Business Analyst

Job Description

Sirius Staffing is currently hiring a Business Analyst for a long-term contract position based onsite in Jackson, MS.


Schedule: Monday- Friday. 8a-5p

This position will work closely with stakeholders to analyze existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, develop and document procedures, and provide ongoing project and operational support .

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with process mapping to document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Develop new procedures, workflows, process documentation, and supporting materials.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
• Provide ongoing analytical, administrative, and project support to business teams.
• Lead and support business analysis activities for projects and operational initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Facilitate meetings and requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
• Partner with stakeholders to clearly define business needs, challenges, and desired outcomes.
• Develop reports, presentations, process maps, business cases, and other project documentation.
• Support strategic initiatives and process-improvement efforts.
• Maintain organized and accurate business documentation.
• Mentor junior analysts and review work for accuracy and completeness, as needed.
• Communicate recommendations and findings effectively to stakeholders and leaders.

Requirement :

• 4-7+ years of relevant Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, or similar experience.
• Demonstrated experience with business process analysis and process mapping.
• Experience developing and documenting procedures, workflows, and business processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to develop professional reports, presentations, and business documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Previous experience working with Entergy.
• Experience within Power Delivery, Transmission, utilities, energy, or a related industry.
• Experience supporting large organizations with complex business processes and multiple stakeholders
