ASSISTANT HATCHERY MANAGER

WHAT TO EXPECT Hy-Line North America is looking to have someone join our team as the Assistant Hatchery Manager at our Spencer, IA Location. In this role, you will assist in managing day-to-day operations related to hatching day-old chicks, including receiving eggs, setting eggs, transferring eggs, handling chicks, and sorting them for delivery. Develop a team of employees to work efficiently and accurately following all HLNA standards operations procedures utilizing proper animal husbandry process with an emphasis on safety. Managing mentoring Hatchery staff. All other duties as assigned by your manager. REQUIREMENTS Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems, including Word and excel, internet explorer and in-house computer programs. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and via email.
