Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Design Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of luxury residential appliance products. This role will lead design engineering teams and work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Product Management teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Design Engineering teams in developing mechanical components and assemblies for appliance products.
Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
Lead product requirements development and execution of verification and validation test plans.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability, quality, and cost.
Work with suppliers on component development and quality improvements.
Support regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements.
Manage engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
6+ years of engineering experience.
Experience in appliance, consumer goods, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
Experience with project management techniques/tools and data analysis.
Experience leading technical teams through commercialization.
Experience with 3D CAD/PLM systems.
CATIA or SolidWorks experience preferred.
Experience with DFM/DFA.
Experience with FMEA, DOE, and root cause analysis.
Exposure to CFD, FEA, or other simulation tools.
