Qualified candidates will receive an NDA; with signature, further information will be provided. THE OPPORTUNITY Purpose of the Position Purpose and background of the role. The Senior Accountant (Cash) is responsible for supporting key accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and providing financial analysis that supports business decision making. This role oversees bank and marketplace cash reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting activities, sales reporting validation, and margin analysis while contributing to the monthly close process and continuous improvement initiatives. The position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting the continued growth across multiple sales channels. Key Responsibilities Cash & Bank Reconciliations - Prepare, analyze, and resolve variances across all operating and treasury accounts. Prepare and perform reconciliations for all operating and treasury bank accounts. Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciling items and account variances in a timely manner. Ensure cash balances are accurately recorded and fully supported. Inventory & Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) Accounting - Maintain accurate inventory valuation, monitor costing, and support monthly close entries. Prepare and perform reconciliations for all operating and treasury bank accounts. Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciling items and account variances in a timely manner. Ensure cash balances are accurately recorded and fully supported. Sales Reporting Review - Validate completeness and accuracy of sales data across all channels. Review and validate sales reporting data across multiple sales channels. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of reported revenue. Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve issues. Walmart Cash Reconciliation - Track deposits, chargebacks, and timing differences specific to Walmart settlements. Amazon Cash Reconciliation - Reconcile Amazon payouts, fees, and reserve balances. Perform reconciliations for major e-commerce and retail platforms, including Walmart and Amazon. Track and reconcile deposits, chargebacks, fees, reserves, deductions, and timing differences. Research and resolve discrepancies between platform settlements and company records. Margin Analysis - Analyze product and channel margins to support financial insights and decision-making. Analyze product, customer, and channel profitability. Prepare margin reports and provide insights to support operational and financial decision making. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability. THE CANDIDATE Experience and Professional Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within inventory, cost accounting, consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or e-commerce environments. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month end close processes. Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and COGS analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems and marketplace platforms such as Amazon and Walmart preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience supporting audits and providing documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
