The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent in the Clifton, NJ area to lead complex commercial construction projects from the field. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will own the day‑to‑day execution, safety, quality, and client experience on site. What You’ll Do Lead daily on‑site operations for commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification. Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors, sequencing work and resolving field issues to keep projects on track and within budget. Review, interpret, and enforce construction documents, drawings, and specifications, ensuring all work aligns with plans and quality standards. Use Microsoft Office, Project, Bluebeam, Procore, and related tools to document progress, track activities, and communicate clearly with project teams and clients. Act as the primary on‑site point of contact, fostering strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors while representing Mazzuca Contracting professionally. What Success Looks Like Consistently delivers projects that meet or beat schedule and quality expectations, with minimal rework and strong client satisfaction. Maintains an organized, safe jobsite with full compliance to safety standards and a strong safety culture among all trades. Anticipates and resolves field conflicts early, communicating impacts clearly and helping protect project budget and timelines. Builds a reputation as a go‑to Superintendent for complex commercial and secure‑space projects, earning repeat work and trust from clients and internal teams. What We’re Looking For At least 10 years of experience in commercial construction, including work on SCIFs, secure spaces, and corporate interiors. Demonstrated ability to manage projects over 10,000 sq. ft., particularly secure data labs and SCIF boxes. Strong knowledge of construction details across electrical, mechanical, and architectural scopes, with the ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and MEP drawings. Proficiency with construction means and methods, plus experience using tools such as Microsoft Office, Project, Bluebeam, and Procore; secure facility experience and willingness to travel are a plus.
