Description Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist Department: Human Resources Reports To: HR Manager FLSA Status: Nonexempt Pay Range: $23 - $25 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time Work Location : Hawthorne (Southbay) Position Summary The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist is responsible for delivering a strong candidate and new-hire experience from initial recruitment through successful onboarding. This position manages full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions across multiple locations while partnering closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, identify qualified candidates, and maintain an efficient hiring process. Beyond recruitment, the Specialist owns and coordinates the onboarding experience, including pre-employment requirements, new-hire documentation, orientation, HRIS onboarding, and follow-up with new employees. As recruiting needs fluctuate, the position also supports broader HR operations, employee experience, compliance, HRIS administration, and other HR initiatives. Essential Responsibilities Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruitment for clinical, administrative, and operational positions, including Medical Assistants, Front Office staff, and other assigned positions. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and hiring priorities. Post and maintain job advertisements across appropriate recruiting platforms. Proactively source qualified candidates and maintain candidate pipelines for high-volume and difficult-to-fill positions. Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process. Collect interview feedback and facilitate timely hiring decisions. Prepare and coordinate employment offers in partnership with HR leadership. Maintain accurate recruiting records and provide updates regarding open positions, candidate pipelines, time-to-fill, and hiring activity. Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and hiring efficiency. Pre-Employment & Onboarding Own the candidate experience from accepted offers through the employee's successful transition into the organization. Coordinate background checks, required credentials, certifications, and other pre-employment requirements. Initiate and monitor new-hire onboarding through the HRIS. Ensure required employment documentation is completed accurately and timely. Coordinate new-hire orientation and first-day logistics. Communicate with hiring managers regarding start dates and onboarding readiness. Ensure new employees receive appropriate policies, resources, system access, and organizational information. Conduct new-hire follow-up and support 30/60/90-day onboarding touchpoints as assigned. Identify onboarding trends or concerns and elevate them to the HR Manager when appropriate. Travel Requirements Limited local travel may be required based on business and recruitment needs. Travel may include attending job fairs, career fairs, recruiting events, community outreach events, educational institutions, and other talent acquisition activities. Occasional travel to company clinic locations may be required to support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, or other HR-related business needs. Travel frequency will vary based on hiring activity and organizational needs. HR Department Support As recruitment and onboarding needs fluctuate, the Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist may provide general support to the Human Resources department and assist with HR initiatives, projects, and administrative needs as assigned by the HR Manager. This support is intended to complement the position's primary responsibilities in talent acquisition and onboarding while providing flexibility to support broader departmental priorities as business needs evolve. Qualifications 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, HR coordination, or related experience preferred. Healthcare or multi-site recruiting experience is strongly preferred. Experience recruiting Medical Assistants, front-office healthcare employees, or other positions is highly desirable. Experience managing candidates through both recruitment and onboarding is preferred. Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build effective working relationships with candidates, employees, and hiring managers. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location environment. Experience with an ATS, HRIS, and online recruiting platforms preferred. Working knowledge of California employment practices related to recruiting and onboarding is a plus. Compensation Pay Range: $23 - $25 per hour Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant recruiting and HR experience, healthcare experience, scope of previous responsibilities, and demonstrated ability to independently manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding. #J-18808-Ljbffr
