Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized testing and observational measures.
• Create individualized therapeutic plans that address both immediate communication challenges and long-term goals for cognitive or swallowing improvement.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language enhancement, fluency, vocal exercises, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to devise holistic care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and family members to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the patient journey.
• Document clinical findings and progress accurately, adhering to state, federal, and institutional policies.
• Keep abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and teamwork with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• If you are not yet ASHA-certified, completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification should be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
