Position: Data Entry Operator Trainee

Job Overview: Under direct supervision of the Department Supervisor and manager this is an in-training capacity to determine suitability for Data Entry Operator work.

Job Duties:

• Must actively participate in training and gaining knowledge of data entry operations specific to each client, account, etc.
• Learn and show ability to process checks for daily deposit, ensuring that all payments are entered accurately.
• Learn and show ability to enter and balance employer reports and self-pay remittances in a timely and accurate manner.
• Use basic math skills to find and process employer reporting and associated discrepancies and errors.
• Learn how to index documents on a continual basis for electronic retrieval and display this knowledge while working the role.
• Learn and create and maintain member records as needed.
• Must work efficiently, effectively and professional while providing assistance to team members.
• Must show continuous improvement, ability to increase volume of workload, be able to adapt to changing procedures and duties, ability to work independently and as a productive team member.
• Learn and demonstrate use and understanding of duties as described for position title “Data Entry Specialist”.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of basic office equipment
• Demonstrated ability to keep calm and positive within all communications.
• Display proficiency in 10-key by touch.
• Exhibit professional appearance with excellent verbal communication skills required.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, and staff in other departments.
• Demonstrated skills in grammar, letter composition, punctuation, and other related office skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external clients.
• Requires a dependable attendance record
• Proven ability to use basic math skills to find and troubleshoot discrepancies and errors within role capacity.
• Proven ability to accurately and timely review all entered information
• 1 year of general office experience
• Utilize computer and phone systems to be able to effectively perform the essential functions of the position.
• Previous experience utilizing Microsoft office software
• High school diploma or G.E.D

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 years of office experience in a high-volume data entry capacity
• 2 years of college experience in a related field- do not have to have an associate degree
