Food Service WorkerIt's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)ResponsibilitiesFood Safety & QualityRegularly inspects work area to remove outdated, expired, or mishandled food items.Prepares, portions, arranges, and labels food tray items according to menu instructions, hygiene, and safety standards.Maintains proper food storage practices, including labeling, dating, and rotating stock using FIFO (First In, First Out).Adheres to procedures for handling potentially hazardous foods, ensuring they are not left in the Temperature Danger Zone (41°F–135°F).Tray Line & Meal AssemblyAssembles patient trays accurately based on menu orders.Ensures all food items are presented neatly and meet dietary requirements.Equipment Operation & MaintenanceOperates and cleans kitchen equipment such as plate warmers, steam tables, slicers, refrigerators, and freezers.Uses proper PPE and vendor-supplied equipment when handling cleaning chemicals to ensure safety and correct concentration.Inventory & SuppliesMonitors inventory levels and promptly notifies the manager of low or out-of-stock items.Restocks workstations according to par levels to maintain adequate supplies without overstocking.Cleaning & SanitationCleans work areas, including dish machines, food delivery carts, and floors, following established procedures.Maintains clean and organized food prep areas with fresh sanitizer buckets to prevent cross-contamination.Follows waste management and recycling protocols.Compliance & TrainingComplies with all OSHA regulations and local, state, and federal mandates.Completes all required annual training on time.Stays informed about updates to policies, menus, recipes, and portioning procedures.Teamwork & CommunicationCommunicates any incomplete tasks or concerns to the manager before the end of the shift.Assists coworkers during low census periods by restocking, cleaning, and organizing.Participates in quality control, assurance, and improvement initiatives.Customer ServiceGreets all patients, visitors, and staff with a smile and provides courteous, helpful service.Embodies the mission of Richmond University Medical Center in all interactions.Time ManagementCompletes all assigned tasks within the shift without leaving excessive work for the next team.Per Diem Salary Range: $25.135/Hr - $26.462/Hr Employment Non-Discrimination: Richmond University Medical Center is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment and provides full and equal employment opportunities to all employees and potential employees without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions and needs including lactation accommodations, physical or mental disability, age, immigration or citizenship status, veteran or active military status, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
