Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

This position requires working on a rotating call schedule. Employees will be part of two call teams during the week and one team on weekends. Any requested time off that coincides with a call day must be covered by the employee finding coverage. Approximately one weekend of call duty is expected every 3-4 weeks. Candidates should be familiar with a variety of specialties including ENT, Eye, Plastic, Podiatry, Ortho, Spine, Neuro, General, OB/GYN, and Urology. Team members will not be assigned to specific specialties and will need to work in all areas. Applicants must be able to demonstrate skills in multiple surgical procedures including but not limited to abdominal hysterectomy, appendectomy, and prostatectomy. Experience in case cart management and familiarity with high-level disinfection practices is expected. Candidates must adhere to universal protocols and demonstrate safe handling of instruments. Knowledgeable about the surgical setting and a commitment to aseptic techniques are essential. A strong emphasis on patient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams will be part of the role. The candidate must be proactive in maintaining a safe and sterile working environment. Candidates should possess effective communication skills for interaction with patients and team members.
