Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Alarm Panel Patrol in Cary, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school district policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas; communicate observed concerns, policy violations, and maintenance issues to appropriate school personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with school personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
