Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the Sacramento area to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team where accuracy, organization, and process improvement are highly valued. This is direct hire and onsite daily in Rancho Cordova, CA.
What You'll Do
- Manage high-volume invoice processing, ensuring timely and accurate entry into the system
- Oversee the AP inbox, prioritizing and responding to vendor and internal requests
- Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and alignment with company policies using NetSuite
- Process employee expense reports and company credit card transactions, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Analyze freight billing and research variances to ensure accurate charges
- Execute weekly payment runs in accordance with vendor terms and discount opportunities
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve outstanding vendor issues
- Maintain vendor records, including W-9 documentation and compliance support
- Partner cross-functionally to address inquiries and support financial operations
- Keep financial documentation organized and audit-ready
- Someone who's naturally detail-focused and likes getting things right the first time
- A problem-solver who doesn't mind digging into discrepancies and figuring things out
- Able to stay organized and keep things moving, even when things get busy
- Comfortable communicating with vendors and teammates in a clear, professional way
- Self-driven and able to work independently without a lot of hand-holding
- Trustworthy when handling sensitive or confidential information
- A positive team player who's easy to work with and willing to jump in where needed
- Completion of a two-year degree required; four-year degree is a plus
- Minimum of three years working within Accounts Payable or a similar accounting function
- Prior experience using NetSuite or comparable ERP platforms preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized, analyze information, and communicate effectively
