Senior Accountant

Our client is a large catalog / retail based organization with 4 separate entities and is located in the north west suburbs of Chicago. Due to growth with the business we are adding a Senior Accountant to assist the CFO with the accounting and month close activities. The organization has a great reputation in the market place with respect to the end users and businesses. This is as great opportunity for a Senior Accountant who is looking to get into a leadership position and mentor an operational accounting clerk
Compensation will be $75,000 to $85,000 per year
- approximately $50M in annual revenue with 100 employees. Finance and accounting team of 10
- 3 locations with a other located in Iowa and in Florida. Approximately 40 years in the business
- Very diverse product offerings with over 40,000 individual SKUs
- Role will be heavy reconciliations and account recs
- The Senior Accountant will assume a direct report in the near future
- Looking for a self-starter and have the ability to create reports using Microsoft Excel
- Will be hands on with the month close
- The Senor Accountant will be responsible for Bank reconciliations
- The Senior Accountant will perform intercompany reconciliations
- working with inventory
- Ideally someone out of a manufacturing firm or distributor firm is a large plus
- will be reviewing the work of the Accounts Payables and Receivables Team
